Position Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. This role is essential in supporting the financial health of the organization and contributing to informed decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Complete month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Create financial models to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Assist in tax return preparation and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to management.
- Collaborate with departments to gather data and offer financial guidance.
- Maintain accurate financial records per company policies.
- Support external audits with required documentation.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations to ensure compliance.
- Contribute financial expertise to special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Skilled in accounting software and Excel.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
- Clear verbal and written communication, able to explain financial info to non-experts.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proactive and adaptable in problem-solving.
